Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked
Questions.

Straight answers about how we bid, how we build, and what it's like to work with a woman-owned, family-operated Louisiana construction company.

What areas of Louisiana do you serve?

We work across Louisiana, with most of our projects concentrated in the southeast region of the state. If your project sits a little outside our usual radius, call us anyway — for the right job we travel.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Greenwing Construction Group carries the licensing and insurance appropriate to the work we take on, and we pull the proper permits for every job that requires them. We're glad to provide documentation before a project starts.

What types of projects do you take on?

Three main lanes: renovations and remodels (kitchens, baths, whole-interior refreshes, and historic or post-storm rebuilds), additions (room additions, sunrooms, and primary-suite expansions), and outdoor living (patios, decks, sunrooms, and outdoor kitchens). We also manage projects end to end as a single point of accountability.

Is a bid free, and how does the bid process work?

Most projects start with a phone call or a site visit. We walk the space, understand what you actually want, and come back with honest scope, honest pricing, and a real timeline. If we run into something unexpected during the build, you hear about it from us before it becomes a problem — no surprise invoices at the end.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. Permitting, code compliance, and coordinating inspections are part of managing the project, so you don't have to chase the parish or schedule inspectors yourself.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. A single-room remodel can run a few weeks; a full addition or outdoor-living build runs longer once design, permitting, and material lead times are factored in. We give you a realistic schedule up front and weekly progress updates once we break ground, rather than an optimistic number that can't hold.

Do you offer design-build, or do I need my own plans?

Both work. If you already have plans, we'll build to them. If you're starting from an idea, we can guide the project through design and pull the right people in so you have one team accountable from first sketch to final walkthrough.

How do you handle change orders and unexpected issues?

Older Louisiana buildings hide surprises. When we open a wall and find something, we stop, document it, and bring you a clear cost and schedule impact before we proceed. Changes are written down and approved, never assumed.

What happens after the project is finished?

A final walkthrough, a punchlist we actually close out, and a year of accountability after handover. Our work carries our name, so we stay involved rather than disappearing at the last payment.
